T2 is defined as tumor greater than 3 cm but less than or equal to 5 cm or having any of the following features: involves the main bronchus regardless of distance to the carina, but without involvement of the carina; invades visceral pleura (PL1 or PL2); associated with atelectasis or obstructive pneumonitis that extends to the hilar region, involving part or all of the lung
T2 is defined as tumor that invades into corpus spongiosum (either glans or ventral shaft) with/without urethral invasion
T2 is tumor extends to other genital structures (ovary, tube, vagina, broad ligaments) by metastasis or direct extension
T2 tumor of the hypopharynx with involvement of the post-cricoid area
T2 tumor of the hypopharynx with involvement of the pyriform sinus and the aryepiglottic fold
T2 tumor of the hypopharynx with involvement of the pyriform sinus and the posterior wall
T2 tumors of the oropharynx measure larger than 2 cm but not larger than 4 cm
T3 (for renal pelvis only, top of diagram): tumor invades beyond muscularis into peripelvic fat or the renal parenchyma
T3a melanoma
T3b is tumor extends to pelvic wall and/or causes hydronephrosis or nonfunctioning kidney
T3c: Tumor extends into vena cava above diaphragm or invades the wall of the vena cava
T3 for leiomyosarcoma, endometrial stromal sarcoma, and adenosarcoma is tumor infiltrating abdominal tissues
T3 for the supraglottis with invasion of the preepiglottic tissues with vocal cord fixation
T3 is defined as a tumor that invades through the muscularis propria into the subserosa, whereas T4 is defined as a tumor that perforates the visceral peritoneum
T3 is defined as tumor greater than 5 cm but less than or equal to 7 cm in greatest dimension or directly invading any of the following: parietal pleura (PL3), chest wall (including superior sulcus tumors), phrenic nerve, parietal pericardium; or separate tumor nodule(s) in the same lobe as the primary
T3 is defined as tumor of any size with local invasion but not invading adjacent organs
T3 is defined as tumor with a maximum clinical diameter 5 cm
T3 is locally advanced but potentially resectable tumor
T3 tumor of the hypopharynx larger than 4 cm in diameter and with involvement of the posterior wall
T3 tumor of the hypopharynx with fixation of the hemilarynx with invasion of the pyriform sinus and post-cricoid area
T3 tumors of the oropharynx are larger than 4 cm in greatest dimension or have extension to lingual surface of epiglottis
T4: Invasion beyond Gerota's fascia
T4a (Lip) is defined as moderately advanced local disease, tumor invading through cortical bone, inferior alveolar nerve, floor of mouth, or skin of face, i
T4a in the nasal cavity and ethmoid sinus is moderately advanced local disease, and invades any of the following: anterior orbital contents, skin of nose or cheek, minimal extension to anterior cranial fossa, pterygoid plates, sphenoid, or frontal sinuses
T3 for the supraglottis is defined as tumor limited to larynx with vocal cord fixation and/or invading any of the following: postcricoid area, preepiglottic tissues, paraglottic space, and/or inner cortex of thyroid cartilage (shown here with invasion of the supraglottis and vocal cord with vocal cord fixation)
T3 includes separate tumor nodule(s) in the same lobe as the primary
T3 is defined as mucosal disease
T3 is defined as tumor larger than 4 cm in greatest dimension
T3 is defined as tumor that invades the subserosa, shown here invading the lesser omentum without involvement of the serosa (visceral peritoneum)
T3 is described as tumor of any size with extension to any of the following: upper/promixal two-thirds of urethra, upper/proximal two-thirds of vagina, bladder mucosa, rectal mucosa, or fixed to pelvic bone
